GGNA has many community events that you can be a part of!  Each year that our budget and volunteer base is sufficient, we try to organize the following events:

Grove St. People's Market logoGrove Street People’s Market

The Grove Street People’s market is a monthly farmers and craft market where neighborhood residents can pick up fresh produce (most of it grown in the neighborhood!), handmade art and crafts, delicious baked goods and more!

GlenFest, Glenwood Multicultural festival, logoGlenFest Multicultural Festival

GlenFest is a multicultural festival that typically consists of two stages with music and dance performances to delight all ages.  There are also vendors providing beautiful handmade items, art, jewelry, unique items for your home, and delicious foods from local vendors with flavors from around the world.  You can see demonstrations of traditional craft making from other countries, different types of martial arts and meet organizations that provide valuable community resources.  There’s also a wonderful children’s area with games, arts and crafts and an area for children (and adults too!) to dress up in outfits from around the globe.

GlenFest is a fun way to bring both residents and friends of Glenwood together to provide a community-building experience …. to show people in the neighborhood  that they are connected to a network of people that are striving to make Glenwood a strong community, with everyone looking out for each other.

GlenFest also serves to bring people to Grove Street, an area of Glenwood that GGNA has focused on revitalizing and reestablishing as a central, thriving part of our neighborhood.  Lastly, but very importantly, GlenFest is an opportunity to both entertain and share the traditional cultures of both people in our community and around the world with residents.
