GGNA has many community events that you can be a part of! Each year that our budget and volunteer base is sufficient, we try to organize the following events:
Grove Street People’s Market
The Grove Street People’s market is a monthly farmers and craft market where neighborhood residents can pick up fresh produce (most of it grown in the neighborhood!), handmade art and crafts, delicious baked goods and more!
GGNA Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is an event that brings neighborhood residents together to celebrate fall. It is the last weekend of the Grove Street People’s Market, and has vendors from the market, booths by community organizations, games, music, and food!
The 2016 Fall Festival will be on Friday, October 21st from 6:00 -9:00 pm at the corner of Grove St. and Glenwood Avenue. If you are interested in a booth, please sign up here. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
National Night Out
National Night Out is a community potluck picnic held each year on the first Tuesday in August. Neighborhoods around the country participate in this national event, called “America’s Night Out Against Crime.” In 2016, it was held at the Glenwood Recreation Center. National Night Out helps build relationships between law enforcement and residents of the neighborhoods that they police.
